Short Bibliography on Giffen Goods

The theoretical and real world existence of Giffen goods is an interesting issue related to the law of demand. It is surprising how controversial the issue is.

Blaug (1997: 335, n. 3) asserts that “no clear-cut example of a Giffen good has ever been found.” In contrast, Battalio et al. (1991) find evidence of the real existence of a Giffen good.
